This lovely colour film about the training of a sheepdog in 1946 in nearby Ryecroft Glen in Dore. It is in 3 parts. Look at Mr Farnsworth (the narrator) aged 4 with the lamb! They were certainly proud of that wonderful gentle dog....

Sally, this is absolutely brilliant, I've so enjoyed watching it especially as I know exactly where it is all being filmed. My daughter's partner is Dick Farnsworth's grandson, the narrator/little boy in the film is his uncle. I had no idea this existed though.
